Frequently Asked Questions
What types of plan are available?
There are three different types of plan:
- Your own completely customised, Personal Plan, this gives you complete
flexibility to plan any sort of funeral you wish.
- The Salisbury Plan - offers a more traditional funeral, based on our
experience of the most frequently requested funeral arrangements.
- The Warwick Plan - has been devised to cater for clients who want to keep
their funeral arrangements simple but dignified, with all the attention to
detail you would expect.
These choices mean that you can choose the funeral plan that best suits you. And, unlike
many funeral plans, Perfect Choice does not have a rigidly structured price list. The cost of
the type of plan you choose will be agreed between yourself and your NAFD Accredited
funeral director. What's more, you can either pay in one lump sum, or if you prefer, you can pay in monthly instalments. Please ask for details or refer to the Terms & Conditions.
How do Perfect Choice Funeral Plans work?
There are two main costs involved in a funeral:
- The funeral director's charges for services provided
- Payments to third parties, such as cemetery, crematoria and church fees
(which are outside the control of the funeral director).
Once you have discussed and agreed the arrangements with your chosen funeral director, you can pay for the selected funeral director's charges and opt to make a contribution towards anticipated payments to third parties. When the time comes for the funeral to be arranged, the funeral director's specified services will be delivered at no further cost to your estate. The contribution to third party payments will be used to settle the cost of services outside the control of the funeral director. If there is a shortfall, the funeral director will approach your estate to make up the difference. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for more details.
Can my funeral arrangements be changed or cancelled?
Yes. All you need to do is contact us about any changes you wish to make (bearing in mind that there may be an additional cost). If you choose to cancel the plan within 14 days of signing the purchase agreement, you will receive a full refund.
What happens if I move to a different part of the country?
Because NAFD has so many members, you should be able to transfer your plan to an
accredited funeral director near your new home. Please see the Terms & Conditions for more details.
Who is eligible?
Anyone aged 18 or over, there is no upper age limit.
